Yup, I got one

On this photo, to be specific: It's always great fun to get something like that. It feels like some kind of "proof" that you at least sometimes makes something right when it comes to photography. Can't help but to get just a liiitle higher self esteem when it comes to my photos after something like this. Which is in a way silly... but still true

Probably for most of the time that I've even had an account hereI got some feedback on the piece hat questioned the safety of the rider. To be clear on that subject and not let anyone have the impression that there was any real danger involved in shooting this, I have to clarify that the horse that was used is trick trained and knows how to rear on command. He has done this a lot and never go higher than what he is showing off in this photo. He's therefore quite easy to predict. The communication between him and his owner is great. At one point one of our nations top showjumping riders got to do this with him, which says a little about it
The distance between the two is actually not as small is it might appear. I've played around a little with the angles. The horse is not right in front of the rider, but placed a little on her right side, and also twisted sligtly. The rider is twisting her body slightly to have her left shoulder more towards the camera and therefore looks as if she's sitting more to the side than she really is. I placed myself quite far to the right, and therefore made it look as if they are closer together than they really are.
This shot was taken in order to get a dramatic effect, deliberetly twisting the angles. It's basically just some of the very easy ways one can use to playing with proportins and effects. Her sitting down adds to the effect that the horse looks a bit larger than he really is.
People used to say that a photo never lies... Well, occasionally they do
