An old Cross country horse that I took a quick snapshot of. Add a few minutes in photoshop and you get this result! ...Don't know if I like if or not, but what the heck...
Oh, she had a natually nice, golden coat, but then I just added a bit in photoshop! First, adjust the curves to give the horse more contrast. Then Copy the background layer ( first ctrl+a and then ctrl+j) so that you have three layers. Let the background layer stay at the bottom, and in the middle you should have layer1, on which you remove all the colour from. Layer number 2 should however keep the colour. Then just pick layer 2 and pick "soft light" (can be found in the box right above the layers. It usually says "normal" but pick "soft light" instead. And there you have it! To adjust it better, merge layer 1 and 2 into one (ctrl+e). Leave the background layer. Then go to opacity and chose how much of this effect you'd like to have. When you are happy with the result, just merge the layers into one (ctrl+e), and voila!

Always move forward,
Going straight will get you nowhere
Jaded- Green Day
Do you feel your memories fade?
You soak up knowledge to fill the space
And still my answer remains
I don't know
No One Knows- Green Day
So i herd u liek
